Participants will explore the causes, major events, and lasting impact of the American Civil War, the most defining conflict in U.S. history. Through interactive lessons and discussions, campers will examine key battles and military strategies, influential leaders on both sides, and the social, political, and economic forces that shaped the era. The week concludes with students applying what they’ve learned through a strategic Civil War–themed activity inspired by the Social Studies Club’s iconic Conflict Game.
